The “Now” page is part of a movement started by Derek Sivers and adopted by the IndieWeb community. The idea is to have a page that you update more frequently than your typical “About” page but still more refined than a social media update to share your current thoughts and priorities. That page lives at a well-known URL - /now - on everyone’s personal domain.
I’m working as a full-time freelancer, mainly doing software development contracts while also working on some products. Professionally, I’m in the process of figuring out my next steps. I want to move from hourly billing to product revenues, do some consulting projects in my expertise area of APIs, and expand my freelance business into an agency. I’m seeing many open paths with yet little clarity about my focus. I hope to gain that focus before the end of the year.
In the personal realm, I’m figuring out my needs and wants regarding love and companionship. I’m also thinking a lot about community building and especially about bringing distinct communities together.
